Explore some of the most interesting cities and sights in European History. The great cities of Prague, Vienna, and Budapest. Smaller cities and pathways. Great European sights and history. Travel mostly on bike trails along the beautiful and popular Danube River Cycle Route, as well as a route along the rivers in the Czech Republic. The route will generally be on flat cycle pathways. Some riding on quiet roads. Led by Michael Lyon, author of the top selling European cycle touring book: “Cycling Along Europe’s Rivers.” This tour is designed for riders who like the planning in place, being part of a group, and guidance during the day, but also like some independence in riding/touring/meals.
Full bus support. Ride the full day or partway, with a ride in the bus. Bring along a non – rider who can travel by bus and see the sights along the way sharing the adventure. A ride for all ages and abilities given it is flat and fully supported. Ride with group or on your own pace.
Led by Michael Lyon, author of the top selling European cycle touring book: “Cycling Along Europe’s Rivers.” Mike will be joined on his tandem with his 11 year old son, also an experienced cycle tour rider. Mike brings over 20 years of touring experience to the trip. This tour is designed for riders who like the planning in place, being part of a group, and guidance during the day, but also like some independence. Riders can cycle independently or together. Meals with the group or independently.
