The 28th Annual Michigander Bicycle Tour takes place from July 13-18 and will explore Michigan’s “Sunrise Side” while featuring the Iron Belle Trail, White Pine Trail and Pere Marquette Rail Trail. This 6-day tour will start on the east coast and travel through some of Michigan’s popular tourist destinations including Tawas City, Lumberman’s Monument, Cadillac, and the Huron National Forest.
This year’s Michigander will also be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Michigan State Parks. Riders will get to enjoy many of Michigan’s state parks, including Rifle River Recreation Area, Higgins Lake State Park, and Houghton Lake State Park. This region is known for its vast tracks of forest; wilderness areas, sandy beaches, crystal clear lakes, winding rivers and the gorgeous Lake Huron coastline.
Riders will enjoy unique stops along the route, including national monuments, an antique mall, wineries and breweries, natural history and historical museums and a hunting and fishing center. Participants can also enjoy a tubing or canoe trip down the Rifle River.
The Michigander travels with its own barista and masseuse and carries the luggage of all riders. New this year, all meals will be catered by a travelling chef. Riders can enjoy riding on all paved trails and their connecting paved roads.
