Here is a friendly and reasonable motel in Boulder. It is in a perfect location as a base for mountain and road biking vacations. The mountains start right behind the motel and it is walking distance to downtown Boulder and University Bikes, an excellent shop for rentals, repairs and sales. We’ve stayed there every summer for the past several years.

The Foot of the Mountain is the only motel remaining from its era and has the distinction of being the oldest, continuously operating motel in Boulder. It was built in the early 1930’s. The current owners are four Boulder families who bought it and renovated it to continue its long tradition of personal, friendly service and comfort.
